“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” 1 Peter 3:15

Articles of Faith

We Believe… The Holy Bible is: The only inspired “Word of God,”
The “Infallible Rule of Faith and Conduct,” Was written by “Holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”(II Timothy 2:15; I Peter 2:2; II Peter 1:19-21; II Timothy 3:16-17)

The GODHEAD:
There is but one true and living God; that in the unity of the Godhead, there are three, equal in attributes, but executing distinct but harmonious offices.

The Father:
The creator of Heaven and Earth and all therein. Sent his only Son to REDEEM AND RECONCILE the lost world unto himself.

Jesus Christ:
The only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit, became flesh and dwelt among us. He died on a cross, was buried and was raised on the third day. He ascended on high, there to be the only mediator between God and man.

The Holy Ghost:
Third person of the “Trinity,” omnipresent, omnipotent, on the earth fulfilling the office of Reprover of Righteousness and Judge, the Comforter, Leader and Guide to all who yield themselves to HIS administration.  (Matthew 1:23; 28:19; Genesis 1:1; I Timothy 2:5; John 1:14,18; 15:25; 16:7,14; II Corinthians 13:14; Isaiah 43:10)

Fallen Man:
Man was created in the image of God, but by voluntary transgression, fell from “Edenic Holiness and Purity.”  His only redemption is through JESUS CHRIST, the SON of GOD.(Genesis 1:26,31; Romans 3:15,16,19; 5:12,21)

Plan of Redemption:
While we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us; His death was by divine appointment of the Father as atonement for sin.  Upon simple faith and acceptance of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, all who call upon HIM may be justified through HIS precious blood.  Salvation is through grace and not by merits of our own. (I Peter 1:18,20; Titus 2:14; John 1:29-6:47; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 6:23)

The New Birth:
The new birth is a definite experience of SALVATION and CONVERSION from a life of sin unto a life of RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUE HOLINESS by CHRIST JESUS, the REDEEMER of ALL MANKIND.(John 3:3; II Corinthians 1:30; Romans 6:11,18; I Corinthians 5:17)

Daily Christian Living:
Having been cleansed from our sins by the precious blood of JESUS, we should desire the sincere milk of the WORD, that we might grow thereby, walking humbly in faith and love and seeking the hidden life that will truly reflect the CHRIST within.(I John 1:6,7; 2:6; I Thessalonians 5:23; II Corinthians 7:1; Isaiah 35:8; Romans 8:5)

Water Baptism:
Water baptism by immersion in the name of the FATHER, the SON and the HOLY GHOST, is a command of our LORD.  It is an outward sign of an inward work; that like as Christ was raised from the dead, by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in a newness of life.(Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:4; Acts 2:41)

The Lord’s Supper:
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of HIS suffering and death.  It is an ordinance that spans the years from Calvary to be enjoined upon every believer.

The Broken Bread:
Used in its commemoration, this is a type of bread that came down from heaven, even Jesus Christ, whose body was broken for us.

The Wine:
To remind us of the shed blood of the Savior, the LAMB OF GOD.(Mark 14:22-24; I Corinthians 11:17-34)

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit:
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a definite experience subsequent to the new birth.  This endowment of POWER may be expected after the same manner as that which came upon the Jew and Gentile alike in apostolic days.(Matthew 3:11; John 14:17; Acts 1:4,8; 2:4; 8:17; 10:44; 17:6; I Corinthians 3:16)

Gifts and Fruits of the Spirit:
The Holy Spirit has definite spiritual gifts to bestow upon the believing Church of Jesus Christ that are separate from the Fruits of the Spirit.

Gifts of the Spirit:
Divided to every man severally as the Holy Spirit wills, should be desired by every believer in the order and proportion whereby they will best edify and benefit the Church.  (I Corinthians 12:1-11; 14:12; Rom.12:6-8)

Fruits of the Spirit:
Nurtured within the heart of every believer by the Spirit and is desired of the Lord to be to the praise of His glory. While there may be very few believers that have all the gifts, every believer should manifest all the fruits.  (Galatians 5:22-23; Romans 12:9)

Sanctification:
The Scriptures teach an if of Holiness without which no man shall see God.  By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the command, “BE ye HOLY, for I am HOLY.”  Entire sanctification is the will of God for every believer and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to GOD’s WORD.(Hebrews 12:14; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; I Peter 1:11,16; I John 2:6)

Divine Healing:
The atonement provides deliverance from sickness and is the privilege of all believers.(Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; Acts 4:29-30; James 5:14-16)

The Second Coming:
The Rapture: The resurrection of those fallen asleep in CHRIST and their translation with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the LORD is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church.

The Revelation:
The return of the LORD with HIS raptured saints to set up HIS Millennial Reign on Earth is the promise of the Word of God and the world’s only hope.(I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Romans 8:23; I Corinthians 15:51-52; Titus 2:13; II Thessalonians 1:7; Revelation
20:1-7; 19:11-14; Romans 11:26-27)

Heaven:
A place prepared for all those that believe upon the LORD JESUS CHRIST and have washed their robes and made them white in the BLOOD of the LAMB.  Their reward is Everlasting Life and Joy in the presence of the LORD.(Revelation 7:14-17; 22:5; John 14:2)

Hell:
A place prepared for the Devil and his fallen angels and will also be the place for those of fallen man that reject the mercy of the CRUCIFIED SAVIOR.  They shall be cast into outer darkness, where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.  Their torment shall be eternal grief, regret and torment from which there will be NO escape.(Matthew 13:41-42; 25:41; Luke 16:23; II Thessalonians 1:19; II Peter 2:4; Revelation 20:10‑15)

New Heaven and New Earth:
According to His promise, we look for a new Heaven and a new Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. (II Peter 3:12-13; Revelation 21:1)

Ministry and Evangelism:
The ministry divinely called by our Lord for the purpose of winning souls and the carrying of the Everlasting Gospel to the entire world.(Matthew 4:18-22; 28:19-20; Acts 2:47; 13:22)

Body of Christ:
The Church is the Body of Christ and that every believer, born of the Spirit, is a member of that Body, whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  It is the duty of the believer to identify Himself with the visible Church on Earth, which is a company of believers associated together for the Salvation of Souls and endeavoring to keep the unity of the SPIRIT in the Bond of Peace … till we all come to the unity of the Faith.  (Matthew 17:26; Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:3,13; 5:26,32; Romans 12:5; I Corinthians 12:13)
