FROM THE BISHOP’S HEART
Hello Church,
Can you believe we have come through January, and we are closer to spring. I’ve always said once in February winter seems to be easier to handle. I know that ever since the New Year started it’s been extremely busy. Ministries have been very active, and we should all be proud of our leaders and those that get involved giving their time and resources to promote the kingdom.
I canceled services on Sunday the 25th due to the weather. That’s always difficult for me to do. But we did have a small prayer meeting. A young man walked in off the street and gave his life to the Lord. We must always be ready to minister to whomever God sends our way. Despite the weather, January was an amazing month. There is not a service that goes by we don’t feel God’s presence and watch as He moves among us. I wish I could tell you about each leader and their ministries, but there are many and they do a lot so there’s not enough time or paper to tell it all. But I am very proud of them all and thank God they have been placed here to help promote God’s kingdom and take this city for Christ. We tell everyone here they too are part of all we do, and to see the unity among us all and how the Lord uses each one blesses me greatly.
Our corporate board recently made a decision that was unselfish and will begin the process of the New Youth Center becoming all it’s meant to be. I was so proud of how they handled it and, in my opinion, obeyed what I know is God.
God told me 40 years ago He would send and establish pillars among us that would hold up my hands and help me to do all He asks of us and He is. Be proud that you’re part of a church that moves by faith and preaches truth. Stand firm don’t ever quit, don’t ever give up, you’re never alone.
