07/17/2016: NO EXCUSES

NO EXCUSES, NO FEAR, NO REGRETS! THE WORD OF GOD WILL MARCH ON FOREVER. IF YOU FEEL PAIN, IT IS NOTHING MORE THAN SIN LEAVING YOUR FLESH AS YOU ALLOW GOD TO HAVE HIS WAY WITH YOUR HEART!!!!!

Broken down it simply means this:
NO EXCUSES – Jeremiah 8:12 – “Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? Nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.”

NO FEAR – Pslam 23:4 – “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

NO REGRETS – 2 Timothy 4:6 – 8 – “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.”
THE WORD OF GOD WILL MARCH ON FOREVER – Revelation Chapters 21 & 22 “We Win!”

IF YOU FEEL PAIN, IT IS NOTHING MORE THAN SIN LEAVING YOUR FLESH AS YOU ALLOW GOD TO HAVE HIS WAY WITH YOUR HEART – “Turn your passion to the cause of Christ! Let go and let God!”
Another word for pain is PASSION! The feeling of pain is you giving up more of yourself and getting more of God. Just imagine the pain Christ felt as He was beaten. Lying on the cross with the smashing force of a hammer driving something as big as a railroad spike through the flesh muscle and bone of His hands and feet to make sure he stayed on the cross. The question is how much pain are you willing to go through for the cause of Christ?

I have made up my mind and I am staying my course! How much more passion do we give to the world than Christ? How much more of our time and money do we give to the world vs. Christ? It is time for balance of power to shift. Time to put the universe on notice! I will no longer suffer for what the world has to offer, I am tired of being in pain for the world! If I am going to be in pain, and go through pain, it is time to do it for the only cause great enough! That cause is to further the Kingdom of Heaven!
I remember reading of the time when a giant in a valley was cursing God. Just like the world does to Christ today! I remember reading of a young shepherd boy named David whom looked into the eyes of his angry older brother and shouting out the immortal words of 1 Samuel 17:29 – “For what have I now done! Is there not a cause?” When are we as Christians going to stand up for the cause of Christ, charge the enemy, and say to the world as a whole, For what have we now done! There is a way better cause than being in pain for you!”

What is there to be afraid of? Have we forgotten the gifts, tools, and promises we have been given by God; Spoken through His servants to stand the test of time, for future generations to hear and read?
  • Luke 10:19 – “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
  • Isaiah 40:31 – “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.”
  • 2 Corinthians 4:17 – “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”
  • Luke 14:12 – “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do he shall do also; and greater works then these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

If we only gave more of ourselves to God and less and less of ourselves to the world! When we can accomplish that, we become what is named in 2 Corinthians 2:14 – 16 – “Now thanks be unto God which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savior of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savior of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: to the one we are the savior of death unto death; and to the other the savior of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?”

07/10/2016: Twelve Symbols #5

Twelve Symbols # 5

Praise the Lord Saints! This week we will be sharing the 5th object that is used with symbolic purpose. It is the Mirror. In reality, it means self-examination!

In James 1:22-25, the writer starts out by calling believers to be “doers”, emphasizing that their entire personality should reflect this, other than being simply hears. Then the writer compares the hearer of the word and not a doer of the word to someone who looks at himself in the
mirror, leaves and forgets what he has just seen in that mirror.
The Greek word translated here which means “looks,” means to observe carefully and cautiously, as opposed to just looking.
First century mirrors were made of metallic, bronze, silver, and if you were rich- gold. They beat the metals flat, and polished them to a high gloss. The reflection was good but not perfect!

In verse 24 the writer states that once you have forgotten yourself, or heard the word and forgotten what changes we need to make to ourselves based on the word, it is just like being a hearer who hears the word and does nothing with what he has heard.

Let us become faithful doers by examining ourselves and doing what it takes to please God!

07/03/2016: Decision of Devotion

Decision of Devotion

Have you ever made a decision?

Decision = act or result of deciding, a conclusion
(Marriage, children, job, friends, God)

What is your devotion to the decisions you make?
Devotion=  a strong love or attachment

Matthew 7:17-20
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
We as Christians can no longer proceed to walk the line in Christ. What fruits have we shown over our time as a Christian in God?

Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The question to ask yourself is what is your treasure? Why do we find such devotion in our hobbies but not in our God or Families? Are we taking God/ Grace  for granted by not following His order?

Matthew 8: 18- 22
18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side. 19 And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master; I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. 20 And Jesus saith unto him, the foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. 21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22 but Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

People of God ~ It is time to stop playing games with God and each other. It is time be real with one another in love and respect! It is time we honor Gods’ order in our live and in his house the way He clearly has called us too!
While in Prison Paul wrote these simple words.

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

Why is it so hard? WE need to find devotion and a sense of integrity to all decisions we make. Remembering ~ God 1st, Family, Job, Money

Matthew 16:24-27

24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Great works requires an even greater devotion to all the choices we make. That no matter what we KNOW God is in control and we allow Him and Him alone to guide us………

06/26/2016: Membership In The Church

Membership In The Church

Memory Verse:  John 10:1 – “Verily, verily, I say unto you.  He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”

Now we all know what happens to theifs and robbers cause Revelation 21:8 makes it perfectly clear that, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

From our studies in the Bible about the Church of God, we see that it is a divine church and different from any sect, denomination, or any organization that man can set up.  Let’s define those three words for a moment.  A sect is a subgroup of a religious, political, or philosophical belief system, usually an offshoot of a larger religious group.  A denomination is a religious organization whose congregations are united in their adherence to its beliefs and practices and usually bigger than a sect.  A organization is a social unit of people that is structured and managed to meet a need or to pursue collective goals.  To become a member of this church, one must obtain salvation through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives.  Then one must go on and be filled with the Holy Spirit to receive the power to do the work of the church freely.  It is not our church, but God’s.

The Door Into The Church

John 10:9 – I am the door: by me if any man shall enter in, he shall be saved.  Jesus, speaking here, proclaimed Himself to be the only door to salvation – into the church.  No one is or can be a member of the Church of God who has not come through the door, Christ Jesus, into the experience of a new birth.  2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”   John 1:3-4 tells us that, “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”  John 3:16 tells us that, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  This is definite experience in the heart.  It happens at one certain time.  One may not know what to call it, but you feel it.  The infilling of the Holy Spirit may be received at the same time, or it may be later.  The early church at Pentecost had to wait for this infilling, but we today do not need to wait for this power in our lives.  Luke 24:49 tells us what Jesus told His people, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you (The Holy Spirit): but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”  It only takes long enough for us to sell out to God in dedicating our lives for His service.  Then Christ fits us into the active, visible body of Christ, the Church of God.

John 10:9 says, “I am the door: by me if any men enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”  Christ, still speaking here, told us that one entering in by Him shall go in the door and on out into God’s great, rich and green pasture and find fresh pasture – food for the soul.  One is not a part of the body of Christ until one is called out from the barren hills of Babylon, from all man-made churches, and comes home to the only true fold.  Here one can feed on the top of Mount Zion, which is above all the hills of Babylon’s confusion.

Acts 2:46-47 says, “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”  The Lord is the secretary of the church as well as the door.  He adds one’s name to the Book of Life when one is saved and blots the name out when one commits sin the Lord is the only secretary because He and He alone, knows when one is truly born there.  Psalm 87:5-6 states, “And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her. The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.”  He knows only because he can make a dead soul live again through Him and only through Him.  Ezekiel 37:1-6 clearly states, “The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”  I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”  Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!  This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.  I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life.  Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”  Just like a good Shepard knows what sheep are his, the Lord knows them that are His.  2 Timothy 2:19 says, “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.  And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”  John 10:27-28, Christ clearly states, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”  No man knows all who are saved and all who are not.  God does, because God looks at the heart.  Phillipians 4:3 states, “And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.”  Exodus 32:33 says, “And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.”  No saved one is left out and no unsaved one is taken in.  Revelation 3:14-17 clearly and mistakenly states, “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”

Men write names of those who join their churches in earthly books of paper and ink.  These records can be destroyed now, and surely will be in the end time.  The only membership record that will stand is the one kept in Heaven by Christ.  Revelation 20:12-15 says, “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”  Revelation 21:27 says, “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

The Name

Ephesians 3:14-15 says, “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.”  The church is one family in Heaven and on earth and is named after the Father.  The family is the household of God.  Ephesians 2:19 tells us, “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.”  Every member born into a family takes the father’s name.  Therefore, the whole family is named and the children who are born in have no choice in the matter.  No one receives a nickname or an adopted name because there are no illegitimate children.  When a child is born into any of our families, there is no question in our minds what the child’s name is.  It is the same as the father’s.  Family names could not be carried on by the given names, or first names as is told in John 17:11 that states, “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee.  Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me that they may be one, as we are.”

When it comes to churches, many will say that the name is not important.  God let us know from the very beginning that He considered the name very important.  In speaking with His disciples, Jesus even tells us to address God by His name in prayer and acknowledge who He is as seen in Matthew 6:9, “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”  In all cases, it distingushes families.  Your name is very important in every aspect of your life.  For example, if two men with identical names are called to discuss receiving an inheritance, each must bring proof of his father’s name.  This will identify the man that the inheritance is meant for.  God gave His family a name, and He will not tolerate anyone trying to separate His family by changing its name.

No Strangers in God’s Family

Ezekiel 44:9 says that, “Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.”  The sanctuary, or temple, was a type of church.  It was pictured beforehand in an outward, material form what was to be true of the church spiritually.  No stranger to Christ, no one uncleansed in heart can enter the church Christ is the door and He makes no mistakes.

God’s Church, Not Ours

The name of the Church of God is a descriptive name, not one arbitrarily chosen and given to it.  Man did not name it.  In the Bible, it is called the Church of God because it IS that.  To assume the name of the Church of God can never make one a member of it.  To gather together with members of the Church of God cannot make one a member of it.  As stated in John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”  One is a member only by being born into it of the will…of God.  When this study speaks of, “the Church of God,” it does not mean “our group” or a group meeting in a certain place or having the name “Church of God” painted over the doorway only.  These types of churches can contain the unsaved as well as the saved.  The church is those in places and all places who are in Christ Jesus.  They are truly the sons of God.

06/19/16: Never Give Up, God Will Never Leave You!

Never Give Up, God Will Never Leave You!

Heberews13:5- Here is what it says: Let your conversations be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have, for He hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

Sometimes in our lives, we face many trials, sorrows, and difficulties. We do try very hard to push on and rise above over challenges. We get frustrated and overwhelmed and at times, we just want to quit. But wait, don’t give into the devil. God is our stronghold, a peace in the midst of the trouble. Call out for Jesus. Repent of any sin and keep the faith. God is with us every step of the way. All throughout your day and night.

I want to share a courageous story with you of faith and love. This story comes out of the book of Daniel.
Daniel 3:1- There was a King called Nebuchadnezzar who made a large gold image. This king expected everyone to bow down and worship this image.
Daniel 3:4-5-A herald cried out to you it is commanded. At the time, ye hear the sound of a flute, harp, horn; you will fall down and worship the gold image.

As we move forward to
Daniel 3:12 it says… “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego would not bow down and worship this image.” They believed in God and only God.
So, King Nebuchadnezzar became furious and ordered that if anyone did not obey, they would be thrown in to a fiery furnace.
Daniel 3:17 – These three men said, “God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning furnace and out of their hand, O king.”
In Daniel 3:23-30  – King Nebuchadnezzar orders the three to be found and hence thrown in the fiery furnace.

The furnace was seven times hotter and it killed the men that threw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire. In the middle of the fire the king saw four men, the fourth man was Jesus. At this point the king pulled the three men out, they were unharmed, not a hair on them burned.

By faith, trust, hope, love and belief in Jesus Christ all things are possible.

06/12/16: Mercy

Pastor’s Impartation:

A friend asked me recently if “mercy” was a spiritual gift.  This was a good question.  Looking at the scripture in the obvious place of 1 Corinthians 12 you don’t see “mercy” listed within the confines of the “listed gifts”.  It seems as though “mercy” is not a spiritual gift.

Is it a “fruit of the Spirit”?  Well, looking at Galatians 5:22-23 “mercy” does not appear to be on that list, either.

    What then IS “mercy”?

Jude 1:22-23 says, “Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear– hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” NIV

Matthew 5:7 says, “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” NKJV

Matthew 23:23 says, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!  For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith.  These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.”

What do all of these scriptures have in common (and many more).  “Mercy” is not a noun which gives the name of a person, place, thing, or idea.  It appears to be an

adverb

which is defined by: a word or phrase that modifies or qualifies an adjective, verb, or other adverb or a word group, expressing a relation of place, time, circumstance, manner, cause, degree.

Example: Mercy qualifies the gift of healing.  Much like the scribes and Pharisees…many miss the mark by doing what the Word says without having the mercy it takes to qualify it in God’s sight.

When I say I am holding some grapes…the vine is “understood”.  Mercy is the vine that holds the fruit together.  Mercy is the wrapping paper of the gift.  You would only say, “I brought you a gift”.  Without mercy…the rest would be unconnected and not very pretty.

This is my simple way of explaining “mercy”.  Many would describe it much better, I’m sure.  I hope this helps my friend and additionally anyone who might be reading this impartation.

06/01/16: Twelve Symbols #4

Praise the Lord Saints!

This week in our stroll through symbolism “the Bible way,” we will talk about water!

The symbol is water, and this water cleanses us from sin. In John 4, Jesus is met by a Samaritan woman at the well. He asked for a drink, she replies, “How is it that you being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman.” Jesus answered, “if you know the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, “Give me a drink” you would asked Him and He would have given you living water.”
(John 4:7-11)

The Old Testament metaphor spoke of God’s knowledge, His grace which spiritually cleanses us and provides spiritual life by the power of the Holy Spirit. John applies these themes to Jesus Christ who is the word of God and living water which is symbolic of eternal life.

Water of Life symbolizes the continual flow of eternal life from God’s throne, to heavens inhabitants.
We need water to survive, for without it we will surely die. Jesus used the woman’s need of the water to sustain life in the dry desert as the object lesson for her need for spiritual transformation!

05/31/16: Perfect

“Perfect”

What is it about that word that people fear to say?  Jesus said in Matthew 5:48…” to be perfect,” a command not a request.  Would Jesus order us to do what we could not?  Of course, He wouldn’t, so if that is true we must be able to obtain it.  James 1:4 tells us to “be perfect lacking in nothing and be complete.”  In Matthew 19:22, Jesus said, “if you want to be perfect go and sell what you have, give it to the poor and follow Me.”  Therefore, by instruction of Jesus there must be away to be perfect.  Colossians 4:12 tells us we can stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.  Hebrews 10:14 tells us that Christ perfected those who are sanctified.  That you, Saved, cleansed by the blood of the Lamb.  Psalm 101:2 says, “to behave in a perfect way, walk with a perfect heart.”

Now, Let us consider a few individuals.  In Genesis 6:9 it says, “Noah was perfect in his generations.”  In Genesis, 17:1 God commanded Abram to be perfect.  Deuteronomy, 18:13 God told Israel to be perfect.  1 Kings 15:14 says, “Asa’s heart was perfect with the Lord his whole life.”  Job 1:1, says “Job was perfect and upright.  We could go on and on with this word that most fear to utter.  Some would argue that these scriptures are original “King James.”  No, not all of them, some are “New King James.”  Others will argue the meaning of perfection.  Now that’s where I want to go…

1 Samuel 16:7 God made it clear He does not look at the appearance of man, but at his heart.  Not at the flesh, but at the spirit.  So while most believe perfection is to be mistake or sin free because their looking at the flesh.  God looking at the heart through Christ knows the spirit of a man can be perfect despite the failures of his flesh.

What is “God’s perfect?”  Based on many of the same scriptures we have already discussed, the words complete and upright were used.  The word complete means:  entire, no part lacking, to fulfill, to accomplish and yes according to the Webster Dictionary, perfect.  Upright means: honest, just plain honest.  God’s view of perfect would be to walk or live life honest.  Also, accomplishing, fulfilling, and complete the work or call He has placed on our lives.  Despite our failures, mistakes, and shortcomings we must always press forward and never give up.

When satan reminds you of your pass defeats, your failures, and your sin, remember your heart, let your heart speak.  Do NOT allow your thoughts to rule the voice in your heart.  Do NOT allow your mind to direct your path.  Allow your spirit, your God given anointed, completed, honest, perfect heart to be your guide.

This is just a small part of a huge subject; I pray it helps in some way.

5/24/16: A Life Less Ordinary

A Life Less Ordinary

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

“Ordinary” means:

  1. of no special quality or interest; commonplace; unexceptional:
  2. plain or undistinguished:
  3. somewhat inferior or below average
  4. customary; usual; normal
  5. the commonplace or average condition
  6. something regular, customary, or usual.

Matthew 16

24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Promise of a life different, special, extraordinary!

(Why did the rich young ruler drop everything? Greed, Fear, Being Different?)

Matthew 16:26- 28

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

28 Verily I say unto you, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Michelangelo pushed himself to meet a deadline and finish a work. A friend told him if he didn’t slow down he would risk his life. He responded “What else is life for?”

Think about those before us……..

Joseph *Genesis 41 – Cast away by his own only to rise up and over see all the land of Egypt.

Jonathan & his armourbearer *1 Samuel 14: 7 And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.

I would like to have known the name of the Armour-bearer, but we are not told his name. There are a great many cases of useful persons whose names are hid. Sometimes God puts honor upon them before the church; sometimes He says, ' never mind, you are remembered before the Lord…

So many unnamed & unspoken but their life was so extraordinary! I know there is a special place for those whose works and sacrifices are remembered by the Lord! Not for a title, not for an award, not in judgment but for a work only in God and for God!

The transition of Saul to Paul created a powerful servant to ALL! Yet the more he gave, the more he grew & the more humble he became;

Low –

Lower –

Lowest –

We live our day to day lives with what risk? With what work?

Are you living a life that is ordinary or extraordinary?

David Said: Psalm 139: 13-14 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

We as church are in a very important transition, molded by God to empower us to take what God has so wonderfully made and use it, work it, make it something great for His glory.

The question is do you truly know it & believe it? Are you willing to just do what needs to be done to get us back to the Holy of Holies?

5/17/16: Twelve Symbols #3

Twelve Symbols

# 3

Praise the Lord Saints!

We have been talking about symbolism; and how certain items and people are symbolically used in the Bible.

This week is the “Seed.” In reality, the “seed” is the source of new life!

  • In Matthew 13:10-23 the parable of the sower is explained. He beings with the souls of those who hear the word of God but don’t understand it. The gospel never penetrates these souls so quickly is lost. New life cannot begin!
  • In Matthew 13:20 “the rocky place.” These are they who remain interested until there is need for sacrifice; quickly they choose to flee instead of staying. New life cannot begin!
  • In Matthew 13:22 the seed was sown among thorns. These are they who cannot break the spirit of the “Love of Money.” They love the world, so new life cannot begin.

In Matthew, 13:23 is the “good soil.” The first three soils yielded no fruit, so no salvation. Not all believers are equally fruitful, but all are fruitful. (John 15:8)
