Faith* Hope* Love
- I Corinthians 13:13 – So now faith, hope and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love. Our faith in God is God and our hope in Jesus is Jesus leads us to God’s commandment to love. A great undertaking is to love God, ourselves and each other. One could not have God without Jesus or Jesus without God.
- Hebrews 11:1 – Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. God is faith – belief that it is going to happen. Firm belief in something. We will see him. Jesus is our hope – what I want to happen. That substance is made (pieces and parts of)
So now as a parable – Salvation for all my family. My faith in God believes my family will be saved. My hope is that my family will be saved. Hope and faith are like two pieces of a puzzle or two links on a chain. “Together they bridge the gap between the life we have and the life we desire.” Between what we have “right now” and to what we want for tomorrow!
- I Thessalonians 1:3 – Remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God our Father. Keep your faith and hope strong, read your word, and pray with passion every day. Have faith in your dreams, hopes, desires, and your capabilities. Keep your highest hope in Jesus, the son of God.
- Why choose? Why stay with God our faith and Jesus our hope?
- God nor Jesus will never let us down!
- God will never leave nor forsake you
- Together they love you now and forever
- With God everything is possible
- 1 Peter 1:21 – Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and give him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God! Amen
